Iran Sanadzadeh wears many hats

Much of her work combines STEM, design and the performing arts. She works on research and development in acoustics, writes and performs music, is a passionate writing mentor and edits documents for others with patience. Raised in Tehran, she moved to Adelaide in 2009, where they studied and developed the Terpsichora pressure-sensitive Floors with Sebastian Collen. This project has developed into a wide-reaching practice, which Iran is writing a book about. She now lives in Melbourne, and can most reliably be found doing watercolours in a corner of a busy room.

Iran’s musical practice explores the possible relationships between movement and sound, primarily using their set of terpsichora pressure-sensitive floors. Iran’s collaborative practice-based research focuses on interaction design for music, movement and dance. She works as a research and development consultant, academic and mentor.
