Iran Sanadzadeh wears many hats
Iran’s musical practice explores the possible relationships between movement and sound, primarily using their set of terpsichora pressure-sensitive floors. Iran’s collaborative practice-based research focuses on interaction design for music, movement and dance.
Much of her work combines STEM, design and the performing arts. She works on research and development in acoustics, writes and performs music. Raised in Tehran, she moved to Adelaide in 2009, where they studied and developed the Terpsichora pressure-sensitive Floors with Sebastian Collen. This project has developed into a wide-reaching practice, which Iran is writing a book about. She now lives in Melbourne, and can most reliably be found doing watercolours in a corner of a busy room.
